Pros and cons
Pros
- Subscription setup with paid posts, messaging and livestream options
- Adult content allowed behind age checks with masked profiles by default
- Creator identity review uses ID document plus live holding selfie
Cons
- The network centres on subscriptions and private conversations, so fans who want open browsing of everything find less of it
- Its content is grouped around creators rather than broad open posting, which narrows what casual visitors encounter
Who it suits
- Creators offering subscription posts and live sessions
- Agencies managing verified adult creators with care
Who should look elsewhere
- Visitors who want to see all content without subscribing
- People looking for a general purpose social feed
Following and subscribing
Fans follow creators and subscribe to the ones they want to see more of, which unlocks a private conversation and the creator's full set of posts. Requests for content made to a creator's own taste can be sent through that private conversation. The network also surfaces creators through a recommendation feed, so new names appear alongside the ones a person already follows. Subscriptions can be ended at any time, which keeps the relationship in the fan's hands.
What creators share
Creators share exclusive posts, new drops and material that sits outside the open feed, and the content is grouped by themes such as lifestyle, streetwear, fitness, music, art, travel and beauty. Each creator has a profile that holds every post, so a subscriber can browse the full collection in one place. Some creators also offer custom work, which fans can request through the private conversation once they are subscribed. Themes change from one creator to the next, so the network offers a broad range of styles.
An exclusive social network
MYM presents itself as an exclusive social network where fans follow creators and reach their content. The network puts community at the centre, with creators welcomed alongside the people who back them. Its appeal rests on a direct link between a creator and each subscriber, rather than on open broadcasting to everyone at once. That focus gives the network its character and shapes how creators and fans relate to one another day to day.
