How to choose Payouts, billing and tax services

Payout choice comes down to four checks: the share you keep, how and when the money lands, what the free plan covers, and what verification and content rules sit in front of you.

Start with the share, then read the payout

A higher creator share means little if deductions are listed separately, so read the two figures side by side. 10er states a creator share of 90% and charges fees of 10% incl. VAT + Stripe transaction fees, which puts the processing cost in plain view. Patronite lists a creator share of 93.5% under a revenue-share model. Fanvue's creator share runs 80% to 85%, with fees set out as Creators keep 80%. Build the comparison in this order: gross income, the share you keep, then any named deductions or thresholds before the money can move.

How the money reaches your account

Payout rails decide how quickly earnings become usable, and the three services differ here more than in the headline share. Fanvue pays out through Bank transfer, MassPay eWallet and Cosmo eWallet and applies a minimum payout of $20. Its schedule is on request, after a pending period that can be extended, with the transfer initiated inside a stated window and funds typically landing within a few business days. Patronite pays through Tpay, PayPal and ING Pay, running on a weekly schedule: Tpay and PayPal go out once a week, and ING Pay transfers are sent automatically to the bank account with funds expected within a day or two. 10er pays to bank transfer to a bank account via Stripe Connect, which keeps Stripe inside the chain.

What is free, and what a paid member unlocks

All three list a free plan: yes, so the entry point costs nothing. The difference sits in what a paid member gets. Fanvue lists ppv and dms, Patronite lists tiers and dms, and 10er lists per release subscriptions, monthly and weekly subscriptions and Stripe payouts to bank account. Two of the three build around recurring membership levels, while per-release subscriptions let a supporter pay for a single item instead of a standing commitment. If your income depends on predictable monthly support, membership tiers matter more than one-off purchases; if it depends on catalogue depth, per-release billing works in your favour.

How billing is structured

All three operate as subscription platforms on a revenue share model, and Fanvue and 10er describe themselves the same way, so the billing logic is comparable across the set. Billing and cancellation terms are set by each service's own terms, so read them in full before you commit rather than assuming a standard notice period. A revenue-share model also means income appears only after platform fees and any payment-processor costs, so track net amounts in your accounts instead of gross support totals.

Verification, paperwork and who you actually pay

Payout access depends on verification, and the requirements are stated at different levels of detail. Fanvue requires creator ID verification with an identity check, a liveness check and additional documents on request, and states the process as instant. Patronite has staff verify creator account data, including name, address, phone, tax ID and KRS for legal entities, with further verification of individual, legal-entity and sole-trader data required before full activation. 10er runs its identity checks through Stripe, which may collect name, address, bank account and photo ID for payout accounts. The operating entities differ too: Shift Holdings Ltd in GB, Brainbow I/S in DK, and Patronite runs on Crowd8 Spolka z ograniczona odpowiedzialnoscia (Crowd8 sp. z o.o.), KRS 0000548195, NIP 5242777491, Warsaw. Longevity is a fair tie-breaker: Fanvue has operated since 2020 and 10er since 2014.

Content rules decide whether a service fits at all

Check the content policy before comparing fees, because a lower share is irrelevant on a platform you cannot post adult work to. Fanvue accepts adult content: yes, with intimate material allowed when clearly marked for adults, consensually captured and age-verified, and AI media allowed with clear disclosure and moderation review, while some adult categories are prohibited. Patronite accepts adult content: yes, but explicit content is not allowed: content that may be deemed vulgar or erotic is prohibited, and adult material is possible only when age-verified and marked. 10er stays quiet on both adult material and AI-generated media. Its terms rule out illegal, violent, hateful and racist use, and it says it holds no responsibility for what subscribed projects publish.

Where to read the detail

Start with the Payouts, billing and tax services ranking for the side-by-side numbers, then work through the individual listings: the Fanvue review, the Patronite review and the 10er review. Where payouts sit alongside billing and tax handling, the CCBill review and the Billy review cover that layer. Support routes matter for payout questions specifically: Patronite offers email, help centre and community, while Fanvue offers email, chat and help centre. Check where a stuck transfer would actually land before you sign up.
